All the members of Parliament were gathered at the Little Theatre to attend the performance of Israel Zangwill’s latest play, “Forcing House.”
The house was bought outright by Mr. R. Storry Deans, Conservative Member of Parliament, who invited his colleagues to see the play as an object lesson of the breakdown of Bolshevism.
When the performance was over the Members of Parliament were highly interested, they applauded heartily and demanded the appearance of the author Zangwill, who appeared before Parliament at the theatre, confessed that until a few days ago he never visited the House of Commons.
“I managed, however, to write about politics, just as Dante wrote about hell without having been there.”
