The Committee for Jewish Colonization in Soviet Russia, with headquarters at 46 Canal Street, New York City, issued an appeal in Yiddish to “Jewish labor organizations, progressive societies, and landsmanschaften to send representatives to a conference which is to be held on Sunday, December 21, in the Manhattan Lyceum, 66 East 4th Street, to create an organization to raise funds for the purpose.
The appeal is signed by a number of Jewish labor leaders. Dr. E. Wattenberg is executive secretary of the temporary committee.
