“It is not time,” the paper asks, “for the Church to demonstrate by life and action that a Christian can have no part in hatred of any race.”
The Catholic Herald publishes a letter from Lord Clonmore, prominent Catholic layman, who proposes a Catholic demonstration of sympathy for the Jews. Lord Clonmore writes: “Would it not be possible, while keeping clear of all political entanglements, for the Catholics of England to send a message of sympathy for Jewry, giving the promise of their prayers.”
