The Czechoslovakian Government-in-Exile today publicly announced that all the numerous anti-Jewish decrees and orders issued on territory of pre-war Czechoslovakia since the Nazi occupation “are contradictory to the principles of the Czechoslovak constitution and will therefore not last one minute longer than the war.”
The announcement was made by Minister of Interior Juraj Slavik at a plenary session of the Czechoslovak State Council. Mr. Slavik emphasized that all other anti-constitutional laws enacted in Czechoslovakia since the Nazi occupation will similarly be automatically abolished. “Only that part of the legislation which is not contradictory to the spirit of our constitution will be maintained during the transition period in order to avoid complete chaos,” he said.
