"Shall the Hebron murderers inherit the money of their victims?" asks the Hebrew daily, "Doar Hayom," in reporting that Arabs indebted to murdered Jews now decline to pay their debts and in some cases allege that they did not receive the money, although they admit the existence of promissory notes. According to the Palestine law, the lender must swear that the borrowers received the money but in view of the massacre this is impossible in many cases.
The paper also asks what has happened to the murderers of Mizrachi, the Jewish youth whose murder was the signal for the August outbreaks, asserting that several Arabs had been arrested at the football field, where the crime was committed but had been bailed out by the Moslem Supreme Council and by their parents. Meanwhile the "Doar Hayom" despairs of justice.
