The London Times, in commenting on the newly formed anti-Semitic party in Poland the National Radicals, declares that it seems as though the new party “embraces virtually the entire Nazi program and the philosophy underlying it with all that it implies for the 3,000,000 Jews who are citizens of Poland.
“The nucleus of the party,” the London Times points out, “appears to be the academic youth of the nation, or at least a substantial number of them, and whose leaders are not widely known in public life.
“The Polish government has long been observing with misgiving the increase in the political aggressiveness of the younger generation in Poland, particularly the university students,” the Times stated, recalling the recent beating of the aged Professor Handelsmann by Endek students, incensed by his uncompromising opposition to anti-Jewish measures in the University of Warsaw.
