Dr. S. Margoshes editor of the New York “Day,” sailed Friday night on the “Olympic” for Europe to attend the Zionist Congress and the Jewish Agency conference in Zurich.
Before his departure, a luncheon in his honor was given by the editorial staff of the “Day” at the Commodore Hotel.
Dr. Margoshes, who was recently elected a member of the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization of America, will visit Palestine following the close of the Zurich sessions.
Ephraim Kaplan, a member of the editorial staff of the “Jewish Morning Journal,” sailed on the same steamer to attend the Zionist Congress.
Dr. David Yellin, head of the Hebrew Teachers College of Jerusalem, sailed on the “Berengaria,” following a visit of several months in the United States and Canada in the interests of his institution. He will attend the Zionist Congress.
