Dr. Nathan Stern, former president of the Association of Reform Rabbis of New York and rabbi emeritus of the West End Synagogue here, died last night after a prolonged illness. He was 67 years old.
Born in New York, Dr. Stern was graduated from Columbia University and later studied at Cambridge University in England. He received his theological preparation at the Jewish Theological Seminary and the Hebrew Union College. He was ordained in 1904. He was an executive member of the Interfaith Commission of New York, treasurer of the National Peace Conference, member of the Central Conference of American Rabbis and past president of the New York Board of Jewish Ministers.
