Characterizing internal disputes as suicidal at this time, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, veteran Zionist, expressed regret here yesterday that the world is permitted to see the British police stand between Jew and Jew to prevent fraticidal conflict.
Speaking at a meeting for the Keren Hayesod (Palestine Foundation Fund), Dr. Weizmann said:
“If matters reach the stage where internal strife causes Jewish bloodshed in Palestine, the world will say: ‘For thousands of years you have accused us of not having given you Jews a chance; and when we gave it you destroyed it.'”
