The Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning announced today that a number of new fellowships were available for students seeking advanced degrees.
College officials said the School of Education was offering fellowships of up to $1,000 to candidates for a degree in education, including Master of Arts, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Philosophy. Fellowships also are available to candidates for a Ph.D. degree in Biblical Literature, Rabbinic Literature, Hebrew Language and Literature, Semitic Languages, Arabic and Islamic Studies, History, Philosophy, Assyriology, Comparative Religion and Middle East Studies.
The college’s Middle East Institute is offering fellowships ranging up to $1,000 for students seeking M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the area studies of the modern Middle East. Candidates for such fellowships were urged to submit applications before next March 1.
