A special issue today marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Nieuw Israelitsche Weekblad, Netherlands Jewish weekly. Started with a circulation of 400, the newspaper now prints 15,000 copies.
Reviewing the first volume of “A History of the Netherlands Jews,” the newspaper De Standaard stresses the importance of the work and points out that the Jew has often been slandered “only to have history vindicate him.”
