President Eisenhower met today at the White House with Benjamin Chasin, National Commander of the Jewish War Veterans. In their 20 minutes’ meeting, they discussed such issues as the Mutual Security bill and defense reorganization legislation.
Mr. Chasin said he did not discuss recent synagogue bombings with the President although he did take that matter up with the Justice Department. The JWV leader said he thought the Justice Department should take a more forceful and active role in bringing the bombers to justice.
