Funeral services were held here today for Emanuel Rosen, an official of the Joint Distribution Committee, who died at the age of 84. At the outbreak of the second World War and in Its early days, Mr. Rosen was a member of the JDC staff in Paris and in Lisbon where he helped Jews escaping from Germany and the Nazi-occupied countries. After the war he served as the JDC’s director of transportation in which capacity he assisted tens of thousands of Jewish survivors of the Nazi holocaust to make their way to Palestine and other countries of refuge.
