The case against the Nazi Storm Troops, the notorious Brown Shirts who were the bulwark of the Hitler movement during its rise to power, was presented to the court today by U.S. prosecutors, who cited their destruction of synagogues, Jewish shops and Jewish homes, and their mistreatment and murder of thousands of Jews.
One brigade of Storm Troopers, the evidence disclosed, destroyed 35 synagogues during the wave of anti-Jewish rioting throughout Germany in November, 1938, under the direction of the Nazi party.
Col. Robert Storey told the court that the Storm Troops victimized Jews in the early days of Hazism, and, later, murdered tens of thousands. Documents and captured photographs depicting the terrorism visited upon Jews were introduced as evidence.
