The Rabbinical Council of the Agudath Israel, international organization of Orthodox Jews, has issued a proclamation declaring Thursday, September 4, as a day of fast and prayer, to mourn the events in Palestine.
Those Jews who will not be able to fast because of their health are obliged to make offerings to the fund to aid the Palestine victims, the rabbis decreed.
