Former Premier Menachem Begin said that he has no intention of resigning from the Knesset at this time. Begin, who has been in seclusion ever since he resigned as Prime Minister last September, had been widely expected to drop out of the Knesset after he failed to appear last Thursday night for the crucial vote on the Labor Alignment’s early elections bill. Given the 61-58 margin in favor of the bill, Begin’s vote would not have affected the outcome.
