The 30th anniversary of the Congress for Labor Israel opened here tonight, marking the launching of a $5,000,000 Histadrut campaign. The four-day parley is being attended by delegates from all parts of the United States and Canada, as well as from Latin American countries.
Today’s session was devoted to a discussion of the relations between American Jewry and Israel. Messages of greeting from Israel President Itzhak Ben Zvi and retiring Prime Minister David Ben Gurion were read at the session. Both Israeli statesmen expressed Israel’s gratitude to its supporter in the United States.
