Six members of the “Insatz Stab Rosenberg”–a special unit formed by the Nazi leader Alfred Rosenberg for the purpose of pillaging Jewish art collections for removal to Germany–will stand trial here tomorrow.
Dr. Bruno Those, one of the accused, was charged by Field Marshal Hermann Goering with the task of sending the most valuable art treasures to him for his own use. The unit stole many valuable paintings, including those owned by members of the Hothschild family. Four French and two German attorneys will defend the accused.
