An investigation has been launched by the judicial authorities to decide whether criminal charges should be brought against directors of two organizations which conducted anti-Semitic propaganda here in a campaign to prevent the return of Jewish property, the prosecutor’s office announced today.
Both organizations were dissolved last month by a Government decree on the grounds that they were opposed to “re-establishment of Republican legality.” Subsequently an enquiry was begun to establish whether the directors of the two bodies had violated any laws. Assistant Prosecutor Daste, who is handling the investigation, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, that one basis of possible action might be the charge of distributing propaganda of foreign inspiration.
