The famous Socialist Dr. Friedrich Adler, son of Dr. Ficter Adler, the founder of the Austrian Social Democratic Party, is coming to London in order to settle there permanently in his capacity as Secretary of the Socialist International. He has stated that he will consequently not stand any more as candidate for the Austrian Chamber.

Mr. Lewis was born in Wisconsin, in 1888; educated in the public schools of Milwaukee, and at the University of Wisconsin, George Washington University and the University of Chicago, from which latter institution he received the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1913.
He was first appointed as Secretary of the Anti-Defamation League in 1913, resigning in 1917 to enlist as a private in the infantry of the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge from the army in 1919 after eighteen months service in the American Expeditionary forces in France, during which he reached the rank of captain, he was reappointed as secretary of the League. Mr. Lewis will continue to act in that capacity.
