Gen. George S. Brown was confirmed last Thursday by the Senate for a second term as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by a vote of 57-34 after a controversy generated at the hearings by a reiteration by the General of comments he made in 1974 that Jews controlled the media and the banks and had “undue influence” over Congress.
