German Trade Unions and Political Parties Hit Mild Sentence Given Nazis Who Killed Jews

German labor unions and leftist political parties today protested the lenient sentences imposed by a German court on two SS men who killed a Jew during the 1938 pogroms. They demanded that the death penalty be imposed. During the week-end local Jewish groups protested the court’s action.
