Boycott agitators will be dealt with severely under a special order which is understood to have been added to the existing ordinance against intimidation.
Magistrates have been instructed to deal summarily with the agitators. British police will be appointed especially to take active measures against the agitators. If these measures are not effective, the government is likely to authorize action against the inciters on the evidence of merchants victimized by the intimidation, even if the intimidated customer does not appear in court.
It is probable that the fomenters of the boycott will come under the Seditions Act, which has been especially prepared for this emergency.
