The Palestine government today suspended the Hebrew daily Hayarden for one month, giving no explanation for its action.
Hayarden, a Revisionist newspaper, has been persistently criticizing the Palestine police for not apprehending the murderers of Kalman Shapiro, a young Jewish resident here who was killed by two Arabs while defending his aunt from an attack by the Arabs on the street. It is believed that this criticism is responsible for the suspension of the paper.
The murder of Kalman Shapiro occurred under similar circumstances as that of Dr. Chaim Arlossorof, who was assassinated by two unknowns while taking a walk with his wife. The murderers of Arlossorof have not yet been discovered by the police.
