David Remez, secretary of the Palestine Federation of Labor, today cabled to President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Churchill and Premier Stalin urging them to take all steps in their power to speed the rescue of European Jewry.
At the same time, the executive committee of the Jewish National Council dispatched a memorandum to the Soviet ambassador in Cairo asking him to assist them in gathering information concerning the fate of the Jews in territory which has been liberated by the Red Army.
M. Sultanov, second secretary of the Russian Cairo legation, arrived here today for a ten-day visit. He denied rumors that the USSR was planning to establish a consulate here.
