Historic films on Jewish communities in the former Soviet Union dating back to 1910 were shown at a festival in Prague. Most of the footage shown at the annual Nine Gates Festival, depicting life in Jewish villages between 1910 and 1927, last was shown 80 years ago. The film segment of Nine Gates, a celebration of Czech, German and Jewish culture, runs through Sunday. A separate theater and music program is planned for June.
