That the Jewish Youth Movement throughout America will be strengthened and Judaism as a whole advanced is the hope voiced by Harry H. Goebel, president of the Young People’s League of the United Synagogue of America. In order to achieve this aim the League has set an early date for the meeting of the organization’s tenth annual convention, to be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania, February 9 to 12.
Rabbi Joseph Zeitlin has invited delegates to Friday evening and Saturday morning chesed, West End Avanue and 100th Street. He will be assisted by Elias A. Cohen, president of the congregation.
A dance program has also been arranged for the delegates, Saturday night at the hotel.
Reuben A. Slonim, chairman of the convention will introduce the speakers. John Lewis, chairman of the Brooklyn Council, will review the history of his group. Other speakers on the schedule are Meyer S. Kripke, Benjamin H. Englander, Aaron A. Decter, Mordecai L. Brill, Morris M. Kertzer and Israel Chodos.
