The desperate plight of North African Jews and the crucial need for OSE work among prospective emigrants who cannot for the time being leave Morocco was described here today by Abel Shaban, Head of the World OSE Union.
Mr. Shaban made his report at a luncheon in the House of Commons given by Sir Frederic Messer and Dr. Barnett Stross, MP’s and attended by leading Jewish personalities including Lord Nathan. It was announced at the luncheon that the next chairman of the British OSE would be Dr. Stross.
