A strike of several hours as a protest against the projected modification of the numerus clausus regulation took place yesterday in all Hungarian Universities.
Delegations representing National student bodies presented memorandums to the authorities demanding not only that the government renounce its modification plans but that it reduce the proportion of Jewish students from five and nine-tenths percent to five and one-tenth percent.
The demand of the students is supported in part by the university authorities. This development has delayed a definition of the government’s attitude.
