Archives containing important international documents were undamaged in the fire which broke out at the headquarters here of Israel’s delegation to the United Nations, it was learned today.
Considerable damage was caused elsewhere in the building during the brief blaze this week-end which broke out in the office of Arthur C. Liveran, counselor to the delegation. A secretary, Mrs. Nehemiah Levy, was trapped briefly but rescued by firemen.
