International Council of Jewish Women Urges Thant to Aid Jews in Arab Countries

Mrs. Shoshana Hareli, international president of the 200,000-member International Council of Jewish Women, has asked United Nations Secretary General Thant “to exercise your influence and authority…on behalf of the suffering Jews in Arab countries, particularly Syria.” The cable was sent to Thant as part of a campaign by the Council’s 25 national branches to publicize the plight of Jews in Arab lands.
