The United Zionists-Revisionists of America today issued a statement sharply attacking David Ben Gurion for a speech before the Jewish National Council in Jerusalem earlier this week in which the chairman of the Jewish Agency executive hinted that the Haganah would use force, if necessary, to suppress the extromists.
The statement, which was signed by Meir Grossman, president of the group, appealed to “American Jews and Zionists alike” to use their influence “in order to prevent terrible internal strife and the shedding of Jewish blood by Jews, which will aggravate the difficult position of the Zionist movement now defending the very existence of a Jewish Palestine.”
