A Ministerial Economic Commission began discussions today on a $590,000,000 foreign-currency budget for the fiscal year 1959-1960 beginning April 1.
The new budget is $3, 000, 000 higher than the last one dealing with foreign currency, and includes $5, 500, 000 for a special fund for the redemption of Israel’s independence and development bonds.
The budget envisages the receipt of $160, 000, 000 worth of revenue from exports, $65, 000, 000 from “invisible” exports, and $60,000,000 in reparations under the West German-Israeli Reparations Agreement.
