September 15 has been set aside as Israel Day in New York, it was announced here yesterday by Grover A. Whalen, chairman of the Mayor’s Committee for the Commemoration of the Golden Anniversary of the city. Whalen added that members of the Israeli youth mission who are now in the U.S. on a good will tour, will participate in special ceremonies to commemorate the day.
