Israel’s contribution of medical supplies for the United Nations forces in Korea will be dispatched within the next three or four weeks, it was loarned here today. The Cabinet has instructed the Ministry of Health to assemble immediately all medical supplies requested by the U.N. which are produced in Israel.
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund is spending $380,000 in Israel this year to aid Israel Children, Dr. M. Mabileau, UNICEF representative in this country, today told Education Minister Zalman Shazar. Dr. Mabileau also informed the Minister that the last UNICEF conference had decided to recommend to the forthcoming U.N. General Assembly that aid for children be continued in the Far and Near East, which would include Israel.
