Israeli troops killed three Palestinians in West Bank clashes. Soldiers sent to arrest Palestinian fugitives in the town of Kabatiya on Sunday came under fire and shot back, killing two armed members of Islamic Jihad. In nearby Jenin, troops wounded five Palestinians, one fatally. Palestinians identified the Jenin casualties as members of the local security forces. It was not immediately clear if they had terrorist links.
