Israel’s Cabinet is in agreement not to reopen a general investigation into Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination, but is open to addressing specific questions about the 1995 murder, an Israeli government official said. Environment Minister Dalia Itzik made the comments about a new commission of inquiry Sunday despite demands by Rabin’s children about what they say are lingering questions about the murder, including shouts heard as Rabin was shot and conflicting medical reports on Rabin’s condition after he was shot.
