Israel’s Supreme Court met Tuesday to consider whether the Jewish state has the right to hold 21 Lebanese citizens as bargaining chips for the release of Israeli soldiers captured in Lebanon. Among those being held by Israel are guerrilla leaders Mustafa Dirani and Sheik Abdel Karim Obeid, who were kidnapped during Israeli raids in Lebanon. A ruling will be handed down at a later date.
