Joseph Weitz, director of the Colonization and Afforestation Department of the Jewish National Fund in Jerusalem, arrived in the United States today for a three months’ visit. He will consult with leaders of the Jewish National Fund of America, as well as with representatives of the Jewish communities throughout the United States, on the JNF five year plan for the reclamation and development of the hill country in Israel, involving the settlement of 12,000 immigrant families.
Mr. Weitz, who is a recognized authority on colonization and afforestation, is the author of many books in Hebrew and in English, dealing with colonization afforestation and general land amelioration.
