Mrs. Jeanette Rosalie Hirshberg, wife of Rabbi Samuel Herishberg of Temple Emanu-El B’nai Jeshurun, Milwaukee’s leading congregation, died here after an illness of several months. She had been active in local Jewish communal affairs for thirty years.
Born in Cincinnati, she moved to Boston as a child and there married Rabbi Hrisberg in 1890 while he was spiritual leader of Temple Ohabei Shalom. She was the founder of the local Temples Sisterhood and charitable organizations She was also prominent in vatious civic and social welfare institutions.
