The Jewish Agency executive today concluded its three-day plenary session adopting a number of decisions concerning the Zionist movement throughout the world.
The session empowered Dr. Nahum Goldmann and Berl Locker, the two chairmen of the Agency executive, to set a new date for the world conference of Jewish leaders to deal with the Communist campaign against Jews and Israel. The conference was to open yesterday in Zurich but was postponed following the death of Stalin.
The session also named a committee of four to consider the attitude of the World Zionist Organization towards groups within the Zionist movement which approve of the Soviet anti-Jewish policy. The formal expulsion of such groups from the movement would require the bringing of charges against them before the Zionist Congress Court, as well as other procedural steps. The measures decided upon by the Agency executive today deal with allocation of funds and may be more effective than the formal expulsion of pro-Communist organizations from the world Zionist movement.
Dr. Goldmann reported to the meeting on his discussions with Premier David Ben Gurion and Justice Minister Pinchas Rosen on the legal status for the Agency.
