Sir Joseph Duveen, the famous Anglo-Jewish art connoisseur, at present in New York, has donated a John Singer Sargent Gallery to England. The n##eus of the Sargent collection will consist of the Wertheimer portraits now hanging in the National Gallery, the portrait of Lord Ribblesdale, who married Mrs. John Jacob Astor, presented to the nation some time age by Sir Joseph himself, and the portrait of Ellen Terry as Lady Macbeth.
