The right to run in November’s general election in the U.S. House of Representatives was won Tuesday by Gabrielle Giffords and Ellen Simon in Arizona, both Democrats; Steve Kagen in Wisconsin, a Democrat; Paul Hodes in New Hampshire, a Democrat; and Alan Fine, a Jewish Republican in Minneapolis who will face Keith Ellison, a Democrat who could become the first Muslim in Congress.
