Jewish Deportees in France Barred from Benefits Given Victims of Germans

Jewish organizations in France are seeking to ?nd a recently promulgated law which bare “racial” deportees from “benefits given ?sons deported by the Germans during the occupation.

The law gives deportees 14,400 francs for each year outside of the country and additional 1,200 francs for each month of internment. However, it specifically includes persons deported for racial reasons. Among the organizations protesting the ?ulation is the Jewish Union for Resistance, composed of Jewish veterans of the Anti-German underground.
