A decision to raise an additional $1,000,000 for Israel by selling Israel Bonds was adopted today by the Workmen’s Circle, one of the largest Jewish fraternal organizations in the United States.
Branches of the organization throughout the country will be asked to raise this sum within the next few months, it was decided at a conference of Workmen’s Circle leaders devoted to promoting the sale of Israel Bonds. Speakers at the conference emphasized that the organization does not associate itself ideologically with the Zionist movement but considers it its duty to help in the development of Israel.
