The Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro State has adopted a motion congratulating the Jewish daily radio program in Rio de Janeiro. “A Voz Israelita,” which celebrated its 20th anniversary. The program was founded by its producer, David Markus, and is broadcast by Mrs. Rita Markus-Grunan Proposing the motion, representative Dr. Mauricio Pinkusfeld pointed out that “A Voz Israelita” has presented 6600 broadcasts, more than 20,000 Hebrew and Yiddish songs and hundreds of interviews with Jewish and non-Jewish personalities from Brazil, Israel and other countries, David Markus the Brazilian correspondent for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
