Many thousands of Jewish workers and young people will be spending their vacations in harvesting camps arranged under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, and in this way will be assisting in the war effort by helping to harvest the crops, it was announced here today.
A number of Jewish organizations, including university students affiliated with the Agudas Israel and Mizrachi organizations, are arranging special camps where the local authorities will facilitate the Sabbath observance and the supply of kosher food. A large number of refugees have been given permission to assist in this effort.
