A number of Arabs and Jews were rounded up by Israeli police this weekend in a crackdown on a suspected spy ring.
The police closed in on the mixed group after they picked up an Arab and a Jewish woman in a car near the Jordanian border Friday night. The woman confessed that they were waiting for an Arab from Jordan to whom they were planning to turn over information in their possession. Following up leads supplied by the first suspects, the authorities picked up a number of other Jews and Arabs.
