Justice Meir Steinbrink of the Supreme Court of New York, and president of the New York Federation of Reform Synagogues, today received the Annual Scroll Award of the Interfaith Movement at a dinner marking this occasion.
The Scroll Award is given each year “for conspicuous service in the cause of amity and good-will among the peoples of all faiths and creeds.” Justice Ferdinand Pecora made the presentation.
The speakers included Barrett Carmody, president of the Interfaith Movement; Justices George Frankenthaler, Joseph F. Callahan, William T. Collins; The Rev. Robert I. Gannon, S. J., president of Fordham University; Senator F. J. Maloney, and Secretary of State Thomas J. Curran.
