Mr. Untermyer retorted that the American delegation was ninety per cent non-sectarian and that he believed that the opening session was that of the world boycott conference.
Philip Guedalla, Anglo-Jewish historian, then intervened, pointing out that, according to the official agenda, the international conference did not open until Monday.
The Jewish groups met later and decided to adhere to the non-sectarian conference, merging all activities. The session was attended by Jewish delegations from many countries. The Zionist Revisionist group, headed by Vladimir Jabotinsky, attended.
WILL END TUESDAY
The international non-sectarian conference, which will be presided over by Mr. Untermyer, will open with an address of welcome by the president. Leading delegates will then address the conference. Maitre de Moro-Giafferi of France is scheduled to deliver a comprehensive report on the working of the boycott movement.
All day Tuesday will be devoted to committee work and reports.
Reports will be presented for ratification at the closing session of the conference late Tuesday afternoon.
